Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

I understand that participating in the Hope In Every Step 5K involves physical activity and may carry certain risks, including injury or illness. I certify that I am physically fit and capable of participating, and will not attend if I am experiencing any medical condition that could be worsened by physical exertion.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in this event and hereby waive, release, and discharge the event organizers, volunteers, event sponsors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising from participation, including but not limited to personal injury, illness (including COVID-19), or property damage.

I also grant full permission for the free use of my name, image, or likeness in any photographs, recordings, or promotional materials from the event.

This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. If any portion of this waiver is found invalid, the remaining sections shall remain enforceable.
